What we believe

  • A
    salvation

We believe that we are saved by grace through faith according to Ephesians 2:8.  This means nothing we could do could ever earn us our salvation.  It has been given to us as a gift from God that we recieve through believing that Jesus died on a cross for our sins and was raised to life again three days later.

  • B
    grace

We believe that "we are saved by grace through faith" according to Ephesians 2:8.  Grace is God giving us undeserved favoritism.  We do not deserve salvation but God chose to send Jesus to die for our sins.  Weather we accept God's grace or not is up to us.  Grace is not just something we talk about but is something we live in.  God treats us with grace each day, we encourage our church to treat others with grace to be an example of who God is to them.

  • C
    The Holy Spirit

The Holy spirit is God; present with us.  John 14:16 Jesus said "I will ask the father and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever."  He goes on to say "you do know Him he remains with you and will be in you."  When we accept Jesus as or Lord and Savior the Holy Spirit comes to live in us.  He is our counselor and guide who leads us.  We also believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 1:5.  When we receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit we are empowered to be a witness according to Acts 1:8.

  • D
    God in three persons

We believe that God is one yet is represented in three persons.  In Matthew 3:17 Jesus is baptized;  in this passage we see that God speaks from heaven, as the Holy Spirit is descending like a dove, while Jesus is standing in the water.  In the same way that snow, sleet and, rain are all water; we believe that God is one but also three.  God the father, Jesus the son, and the Holy Spirit.
